Ah, brunch. It’s one of the things that make the weekends great. You can sleep in a little, get dressed to meet with friends, and have a nice, hearty meal featuring breakfast classics and then some. What’s not to like?

If you’re a fan of brunches or at least interested in trying it out at least once, here are the best brunch spots in Monmouth County and Central Jersey. With New Jersey’s multi-stage reopening plan in mind, the following restaurants are either open for takeaways or deliveries.

1. Over Easy Kitchen

   Instagrammable brunch options that are also mouth-watering and utterly delectable? Over Easy Kitchen delivers. They serve picture-perfect brunch dishes like “protein breffy” (scrambled egg whites with marinated chicken and garlic spinach on the side) and “fancy burrata” (poached eggs and fresh burrata cheese, served with avocado, arugula, onions, tomatoes, sourdough bread, and all the works).

2. Blue Swan Diner

   Recognized as one of the best restaurants in Monmouth County, Blue Swan Diner makes sure you’re in for a great brunch experience. Order fresh country eggs, served any way you like, different kinds of omelettes (or build your own), and don’t forget to treat yourself to their griddle specials. There is also an assortment of pastries to try to wrap it all up.

3. Toast Asbury Park

   Toast has three locations in New Jersey, including in Red Bank, but their branch in Asbury Park is the best place to enjoy their brunch service. All the breakfast classics are present along with more inventive options, such as tofu scramble if you want to keep it healthy and carrot cake pancakes complete with raisins, coconuts, and brown sugar. Every bite is a well-deserved treat.

4. Meemom’s
   Locations in Wall Township, Middletown, and Brick Township

   The so-called Dean of French Toast University, Meemom’s plays with traditional breakfast and lunch favorites to create memorable meals, so unforgettable you’ll want more. Choose from over 20 different iterations of the French toast, try out their different types of coffee, and if you’re watching your calorie intake, check out their healthier options.

5. My Kitchen Witch

   Sometimes, nothing is as comforting on the weekends as a nice home-cooked meal. And at My Kitchen Witch in Monmouth Beach, you’re welcome to feast on lovingly made, home-cooked brunch favorites made by Karyn Jarmer and her team. Order the “Eggs Benewitch 10,” treat yourself to their “Bewitchin Bowl 11,” and wash it all down with fresh fruit juice. After brunch, take a stroll along the Jersey Shore and enjoy the ocean breeze.
