Providing children with a strong, comprehensive education is the best route to a successful life. A good education is the foundation for a bright future.

For parents living in New Jersey who desire only the best for their children, Freehold Regional High School District is an option worth considering. Established in 1953, the Freehold Regional High School District boasts a unique and dynamic system designed to help each child achieve their peak potential.

The system, which is a carefully constructed strategic plan that involves several new and innovative techniques, has yielded great results. Known as the “compass” strategy, it has opened doors for at least 87% of graduates of Freehold Regional High Schools to pursue a higher education. Freehold students are known to consistently outperform their peers from other schools on standard tests, and scored higher on their SATs.

Objectives

The Freehold Regional High School District’s motto is “Lifelong learning, comprehensive education, and a supportive environment.” With highly trained faculty and staff committed to providing a positive academic environment for each student to excel, the schools are a blueprint for success. The schools that make up Freehold Regional High School District are:

  • Colts Neck High
  • Freehold High
  • Freehold Township
  • Howell
  • Manalapan
  • Marlboro
  • Englishtown

Just under 11,000 students currently attend Freehold District schools. Admission is highly competitive; only students from select middle schools are eligible to apply for specialized programs. The students accepted at Freehold Regional schools are typically bright and motivated, ready to succeed and build a strong future for themselves.

Class sizes are kept small to allow each student to receive individual attention. Other schools have a higher student-to-teacher ratio, which results in overcrowded classrooms where promising students can be unintentionally overlooked.

Lower student-to-teacher ratios allow educators to work one-on-one with students to help them overcome any challenges and stay on track with their studies.

What makes Freehold Regional HS District different?

The District schools offer students groundbreaking Magnet Programs made up of a variety of academically challenging courses tailored to each individual. The 12 Magnet Programs focus on specific areas of study to help students streamline their educational goals and determine their career of choice in advance. The programs equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to get ahead in competitive fields.

Freehold Regional students are also given access to a variety of extracurricular activities designed to develop individual talents and abilities. Students are also encouraged to actively participate in building their communities.

Guest speakers are often invited to address students and provide valuable insights on what to expect from the “real world.” They help Freehold students make decisions when it comes to future career options and what they face upon graduation.
