Known as the “compass” strategy, it has opened doors for at least 87% of graduates of Freehold Regional High Schools to pursue a higher education. Just under 11,000 students currently attend Freehold District schools. Admission is highly competitive; only students from select middle schools are eligible to apply for specialized programs. The students accepted at Freehold Regional schools are typically bright and motivated, ready to succeed and build a strong future for themselves.
Class sizes are kept small to allow each student to receive individual attention. Other schools have a higher student-to-teacher ratio, which results in overcrowded classrooms where promising students can be unintentionally overlooked.
Lower student-to-teacher ratios allow educators to work one-on-one with students to help them overcome any challenges and stay on track with their studies.

The District schools offer students groundbreaking Magnet Programs made up of a variety of academically challenging courses tailored to each individual.
