For those living in New Jersey, the daily grind can be hectic. At the end of a tough shift or workweek, nothing beats taking advantage of the many available options for scenic waterfront dining. When it’s time to relax and enjoy something delicious, head on out to one of the fabulous four on this list for dining with a view.

Sirena Ristorante
27 Ocean Ave, Long Branch

Sirena (Italian for mermaid) serves up classic Italian cuisine. Nominated by Shore Foodie TASTE Awards as one of the Jersey Shore’s “most outstanding Italian restaurants,” Sirena’s name is inspired by its glorious oceanside views.

This romantic restaurant in Pier Village has floor-to-ceiling windows and a chic and intimate beach setting. Its warm and professional service, thoughtfully constructed menu selections, and the quality and styling of the food is consistently delightful.

Their sumptuous fare includes Capesante scallops, a phenomenal fried calamari appetizer, and a wonderfully crafted chicken scarpariello. Also trytheir incomparable Pappardelle Bolognese.

Whether for its fabulous food selection, amazing array of delicious wines and specialty cocktails or impeccable service, Sirena is sure not to disappoint.

Stella Marina Bar & Restaurant
800 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park

Stella Marina is one of the prestigious Diners’ Choice awardees for 2018. Breathe in the sweet ocean air while dining on rustic Italian cuisine on the boardwalk or enjoy a relaxed dinner in one of their two dining rooms. Outrageously satisfying mainstays are the pork chops valdostana, ricotta crostini and the mushroom ravioli.

What’s more, it’s happy hour all day on Sundays! Indulge in a fantastic selection of wines and cocktails, and appetizers such as meatballs, calamari and eggplant parmigiana – all of which are outstanding!

Cubucan Restaurant & Bar
800 Ocean Avenue, Asbury Park

This vibrant restaurant in historic Asbury Park serves up modern Cuban cuisine with a specialty cocktail menu featuring signature mojitos. Eat on the boardwalk and people watch. Try their delicious tapas – the chicken empanadas are particularly tasty! Enjoy their popular Paella Valenciana (seafood paella) or Branzino a la Planxa (seabass) or, for your dinner entrée, try the cod in coconut cumin sauce.

If you fancy something a little lighter, their Ensalada de Aguacate(salad with avocado) is killer. There are also gluten-free and vegan options on the menu.

Rat’s Restaurant
16 Fairgrounds Rd, Hamilton Township

Named after the character in the Scottish children’s book, “Wind in the Willows,” Rat’s Restaurant lies within the 42-acre Grounds for Sculpture. French impressionist Claude Monet inspired the architecture and interiors of the restaurant. In fact, the patio where patrons can opt to dine al fresco fronts a lily pond with an arched bridge that recalls Monet’s celebrated painting, “Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge.”

Along with all the literary and painterly references, the food is just as sublime. Rat’s serves classic French fare like coq au vin, vegan entrees such as cauliflower steak, and selections that change with the season. The menu also lists by name the local farms and gardens from which Rat’s sources its ingredients.
